Community Awards 2016/7 – School Project
Barony Castle and the employees have launched a local community awareness project. Local schools were invited to come forward with ideas for funding, as a result we are pleased to announce the following awards to local schools. Barony Castle will contribute over £3000. This is the first year that schools have been involved in the awards but it is hoped this will be expanded in future years.
Eddleston Primary – Will be receiving a selection of CDs/Music.
Halyrude Primary – Will be receiving a selection of books for their library.
Kingsland Primary – The hotel will help with the development of an outside garden area with raised beds etc. for the children. Once a crop of vegetables is ready William Thomson, Executive Chef, will hold some informal cooking lessons.
Priorsford Primary – Will be receiving a selection outside equipment.
West Linton Primary – Received funding towards their 2016 pantomime.
St Ronans Primary – Will receive funding for stage lighting.
