Enjoy a two or three night break at Barony Castle Hotel this New Year with a gala dinner to ring in the bells and delicious dining throughout.
If you’re enjoying a three night stay with us, arrive from 3pm on 30th December and settle in to your room before enjoying a three course dinner in 1536 Restaurant followed by live entertainment. Start the day right with a traditional Scottish breakfast the next morning.

For those staying two nights, arrive from 2pm for a delicious cream tea. Then get ready for the big night…
The evening starts with a piper and arrival drink of Prosecco before the Hogmanay Gala Ball commences with a four course menu and live music from the band Wireless. Ring in the bells with a toast drink and traditional piper before hot stovies are served. Dress code is black tie/formal.

Enjoy a full Scottish or continental breakfast with live action from our Chefs in the morning, then why not have a wander around the grounds, take a dip in the pool or work off the previous night’s excesses in the gym. Finish the day with a carvery dinner before enjoying live entertainment throughout the evening.

From the moment we arrived, being piped in, the glass of fizz, and the very warm welcome from the staff, we felt we were in for a great night. The band were amazing, very talented and played such an excellent diversity of music, ensuring the dance floor was busy all night… just such a great atmosphere.
But what impressed us the most, was the brilliant efficiency, friendliness and attention to detail by the staff.. they excelled on the night!
There were 4 of us there, and our friends from the West of Scotland thoroughly enjoyed the night.. it is a tradition that we spend Hogmanay together, and over many years we have attended Hogmanay nights at many venues throughout Scotland. In all honesty, we have put Barony Castle at the very top of our experiences.. and to find this right on our doorstep is amazing.
Every single member of your team, room service, kitchen, bar and restaurant staff, reception team, events staff and visiting entertainers clearly pulled out all the stops to cater for our every wish from early morning to late at night.
Your programme over the three days was very ambitious and impressive, but we launched ourselves into it with delight and enthusiasm and hope we contributed to the obvious merriment going on around us.
I have to mention the Old Year’s Night band, Wireless, which was terrific. They had a full dancefloor all night and played non-stop. Brilliant.

I really don’t know where to start. Michael and I have just had the best new year ever it was absolutely fabulous. From start to finish!! The staff, food, accommodation was 2nd to none, 1st class.
This was our second Hogmanay at the Barony Castle and both times we had a lovely time. This time we took the dog and she enjoyed some lovely walks around the grounds. The food was very nice and served at the Gala Dinner with military precision. All the staff were exceptionally nice and very helpful and our room warm and comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Barony Castle.
We both had an amazing stay and really enjoyed the hotel. The food was good, it’s a lovely hotel, the staff were very friendly. The band ‘Wireless’ on New Year’s Eve were very very good.
