Barony Castle Hotel has made the difficult decision to operate on reduced hours due to the decrease in mid-week footfall, as a result of the current COVID-19 restrictions.  The hotel will be open from 12pm each Thursday to 12pm Sunday, offering both a Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner service; pre-booking is recommended.

Steven Colquhoun, Hotel Operations Manager. “Due to the current Tier 2 restrictions and guests unable to travel from surrounding areas, we are finding that all our bookings are condensed into the weekend and operating reduced hours was our most viable option at this time.   We are very grateful to everyone in the Borders who are supporting local businesses and we have seen an upsurge in overnight bookings from our local area.”

1536 Restaurant is proud to produce a locally sourced seasonal menu and recently received an AA Rosette for quality and service.

David Fulton, Head Chef at Barony Castle “We hope to see as many locals coming to enjoy our festive lunch on Christmas day, as we can still accommodate family and friends of up to 6 people so we take away the stress of cooking, clearing up and the doubt of up in the air plans.   To encourage locals, we are offering a 10% discount on previously advertised prices to anyone living in the EH45 area”.

Christmas at the Castle:  Barony Castle are offering 10% discount to any locals staying in the EH45 postcode.  To take the stress out of Christmas please email Christmas@baronycastle.com to make your reservation.
