In June of last year, Barony Castle introduced a new minimum wage structure with the ultimate aim to achieve the Real Living Wage for all employees aged 23 and over. At the time, our wages were within 3% of the Real Living Wage for this age group.
In light of the National Minimum Wage increasing in April 2022, Barony Castle has again reviewed the company’s pay structure in order to recognise the hard work of all our staff and compensate them fairly.
As such, from March 2022 Barony Castle will be increasing hourly pay rates as follows:
Up to 19 years old
Current Rate: £8.36
New NMW: £6.83
New Pay Rate: £9.20
10.05% increase
20+ years old
Current Rate: £8.91
New NMW: £9.18
New Pay Rate: £9.50
6.62% increase
23+ years old
Current Rate: £9.20
New NMW: £9.50
New Pay Rate: £9.90
7.61% increase
Barony Castle is therefore delighted to achieve our aim of offering all employees over the age of 23 the Real Living Wage, as well as offering younger employees pay rates significantly higher than the National Minimum Wage.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff for their hard work as we look forward to the future with confidence.
